AMENO CONSULTATION with Ministry of Education
The members of AMENO and the Equity Summit Group met with Dr. Ruth Flynn, Director of the Inclusive Education Branch on March 11, 2009, as part of the Ministry of Education’s consultation on the upcoming equity and inclusive education strategy. At the meeting, AMENO provided input into the draft PPM: Developing and Implementing Equity and Inclusive Education Policies in Ontario Schools and the Draft Guidelines for Policy Development and Implementation. We reiterated our hopes for an equity strategy that is systemic in nature, resourced and guided by strong leadership.
AMENO & the Equity Summit Group previously met Dr. Flynn this past year; we have put forward our position on equity with Minister Kathleen Wynne in 2007.
